A popular attraction for decades, the Boardwalk Carnival runs parallel to the beach and features numerous booths, from vendors hawking snacks to games of chance and tests of skill. Further inland, one can find a tilt-a-whirl ride, a carousel with finely-crafted steeds, and a Ferris wheel that flashes in a rainbow of colors. Of course, the carnival itself only runs through the summer months. During the off-season, it seems a desolate, almost eerie place.
